OUR 75th ANNIVERSARY.  You’ll experience newly remodeled cabins that have been completely refurnished.  You’ll find each master bedroom now equipped with the Sleep Number Bed.  You’ll enjoy a fresh brewed cup of coffee every morning compliments of the new Keurig brewers in your cabin.  And our new luxury linens and pillows will compliment the pine scented evening breezes and help to ensure a fantastic night sleep! 

SLEEPS 1 TO 16.  Our IBR, 2BR, 3BR, 4BR and 5BR guest cabins rest along our 1,300 feet of Bear Island Lake shoreline.  And our 24 RV sites are reserved for our daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal RV guests.  Bear Island Lake features a great fishery of native species including walleye, crappie, bluegill, largemouth and smallmouth bass and northern pike.  We are also a DNR fishery with 900,000 new walleye fry released every other year! 

FAMILY ADVENTURE PACKAGES.  We’re Family Friendly and quiet and secure.  And we offer Family Adventure Packages to make your stay more enjoyable.  You and your family may want to stay on the property where we feature Adventures with Murillo.  There is a lot of exploration that departs from our own beach like kayaking, canoeing, nature walks on our own 1 mile track or deep exploration of Bear Island. 

For the more adventurous Murillo departs weekly for more extreme nature hiking along the North Shore of Lake Superior.  Other Family Adventures include Wolf Encounters at the International Wolf Center, Guided Fishing Trips with expert fisherman Jim Orcott, Bear Photo Ops at the North American Bear Center, ATV tours of Lake Superior’s North Shore with Mud Paws ATV Adventures, and breathtaking Aerial Tours of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with Van Air.

SUNSET CRUISES.  New this year are our weekly Sunset Cruises.  They’re simple – they’re free - but our guest just love them.  Come aboard our double-decker pontoon as we depart at dusk to the center of serene Bear Island Lake.  Then we float, drink a beverage and build memories with those we love.  After the sun sets across the western skyline we return to base and lot’s of you will head back to your classic northern cabin, build a fire and get ready to settle in for the night (don’t forget the s’mores!).
