Welcome to TIMBER WLF LODGE, a four-season getaway for family, friends, and groups, near Ely, Minnesota, the gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  Our 12 modern housekeeping cabins and 23 private campsites are located on 2,300 acre Bear Island Lake, which is cradled in the Superior National Forest.  Naturally warmed by southwest breezes, our location is a favorite for beautiful sunsets.  Our 75 acres of fragrant pine and beautiful birch is your own playground for 4 seasons of vacation fun - the "Place up North" you've always dreamed about.

We are eager to share with you the beauty and serenity that each season at our Northwoods resort has to offer.  Here at TIMBER WLF LODGE you can listen to the quiet of the wilderness, interrupted only by the call of a loon echoing over the lake, the occasional howl of a lone wolf, and the tranquility of water lapping at the shore.
