Lovely Bear Island Lake is a beautiful, quiet lake, 2,351 acres, (about 2 miles by 4 miles), about 10 miles south of Ely & the BWCAW, without any motor restrictions. There are 23 islands to explore, & the shoreline is about two-thirds State & National Forest. The lake is a natural glacial lake - highly structured & deeper than most of the lakes in it's class, but our shallow bay keeps our natural sand beach just the right temperature for great swimming! You can fish, play or relax on our great lake. Available for rent are: fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, & a pontoon boat. We also have a paddle boat available, for guest use, at no charge. All of out lakeside cabins have their own private dock, and we have additional dock space available.

Reservations are recommended for fishing boat and pontoon rentals.
